About the player
Serge-Philippe Raux-Yao stands 197 cm tall for Rapid Wien since his move from Rodez AF on a free transfer in July 2024, when he signed a contract running to 2028. Left-footed, he came through the AJ Auxerre academy but managed only a single cup appearance for the club's senior side before moving on. A free transfer took him to Cercle Brugge in May 2020, where first-team opportunities were limited to three league appearances in Belgium.
It was at Rodez AF, from January 2022, that Raux-Yao made 84 league appearances and scored once during his two and a half seasons there. At Rapid Wien he has made over 50 appearances for the club with a goal to his name.
Born in Pontoise, Raux-Yao holds both French and Ivorian citizenship. He has not been capped by either country at senior level, though in a 2022 interview he said he would like to represent Ivory Coast, while adding that there had been no contact from the national team at that point.
