Vitória, in the Brazilian state of Bahia, gave Wallace his start. Between those returns, though, came a run at the game's biggest stages. A move to Corinthians in 2011 put him in a defence that won the Brazilian championship that year, then the Copa Libertadores and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2012.

Flamengo came next. Grêmio paid roughly 3.2 million reais to sign him in 2016, though his time in Porto Alegre was brief before a loan took him to Turkey with Gaziantepspor.

He stayed in Turkish football with Göztepe from 2018. A move to Brusque followed in 2022, keeping him involved regularly for two seasons before Londrina brought him in as a reinforcement in January 2025, handing the defender the number four shirt.

Now in his late thirties, Wallace arrives at Londrina with a career built on defensive solidity rather than goals — just over two dozen in close to two decades of senior football — and a collection of titles picked up largely in a two-year window at Corinthians and Flamengo in the early part of the 2010s.
