Jeddah Club

Promotion to the Saudi First Division did not come easily. Jeddah Club spent years shuttling between the lower tiers before topping Group 1 of the Second Division in the 2016–17 season.

The club itself is a product of consolidation rather than a single founding moment. Five Jeddah sides — Radwa, Al-Hilal Al-Bahri, Al-Tasami, Al-Salam and Al-Talab — merged in 1968 under the name United Jeddah, which was quickly changed to Al-Thaghr, "The Port". By 1973 it had become Al-Rabie, "The Spring", and it carried that name for over four decades until the General Presidency of Youth Welfare approved a final change, in September 2016, to Jeddah Sports Club. Through all the renaming, the nickname stuck: Al-Bahri, "The Sailors".

Yasser Al-Musaylim, a former goalkeeper for the Saudi national team, joined the club in 2024.

Jeddah Club play in blue and white at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium, a ground built to hold 27,000 spectators.
