NWS Spirit

Christie Park sits in Macquarie Park, an office-and-university pocket of northern Sydney, and holds around 1,500 people, 500 of them seated under a tiered grandstand.

The climb reads in the honours. Division 1 premierships in 2007 and 2008 were followed by the Super League championship in 2009, then the second-tier premiership in 2015.

The current name dates from 2019, when the Gladesville-Hornsby association merged with the North West Sydney Women's Football Association to form North West Sydney Football Ltd.

Before any of that there was Northern Spirit, founded in 1997 and playing in the National Soccer League from 1998. When the club was dissolved in 2004, those youth teams were the part that survived, gathered up the same year under the name Gladesville-Hornsby Spirit. Everything since has grown from what was left standing.
