Pardubice

In the 1983–84 season, Rudá hvězda Pardubice, as the club was then known under its Red Star sponsorship name, won the Czechoslovak Championship. The identity has shifted with every sponsor and every political turn: from Rudá hvězda through SKP Pardubice, BHC SKP, Ostacolor, Synthesia and JIP, arriving at the current BK KVIS Pardubice. Through all of it, the city has kept calling the team Beksa.

Two Czech Cups followed the championship, in 1993–94 under the BHC SKP name and again in 2015–16 as BK JIP, and in 2019–20 the club added the Alpe Adria Cup. A runner-up finish in the same competition two years later.

The club draws on a run of players who came through its own system as much as ones brought in, among them Jiří Welsch and Stanislav Kropilák. Home games are split between the Enteria Arena, which can hold over 10,000, and the far smaller Sportovní hala Dašická for the routine business of the league season.
