Wolfsberger AC II

The Lavanttal-Arena in Wolfsberg holds 7,300 after a 2012 expansion.

The side traces to the summer of 2007, when Wolfsberger AC and SK St. Andrä struck an arrangement that swapped league places between their squads — the new team took WAC's spot in the Kärntner Liga under the name WAC/St. Andrä II. The partnership ended in 2012, and the team became Wolfsberger AC II outright, still in the same fourth-tier league. That same season it won the division and stepped up to the Regionalliga, Austria's third tier, where it has stayed with only brief interruptions — a relegation in 2024 reversed almost immediately when another club withdrew and the spot fell back to Wolfsberg.

What the club sells instead is what came through it. Tarik Muharemović started here in 2020 before Wolfsberg's first team took him, then Juventus, then Sassuolo, then Leeds United — a path that ran through Bosnia and Herzegovina's squad at the 2026 World Cup. Raphael Schifferl logged six years and 66 appearances in black and white before loans at Austria Wien and Unterhaching led him, eventually, to 1860 Munich.

The team sits in the Regionalliga Mitte now, still built the same way it has been since 2012.
