Chippa United and Richards Bay Share Points in Goalless Start
Chippa United drew 1-1 with Richards Bay in the second round of the South African Premier League on Monday evening. The hosts took the lead through N. Mlotshwa in the twenty-third minute before B. T. Nashixwa equalised shortly after the break. Both sides remain winless after five games, though Chippa hold a single point advantage at the bottom of the table.

Chippa United extend their unbeaten run to eight matches, having drawn four of their last five and won once against Kaiser Chiefs in May. Richards Bay have drawn three times in five games but lost two, including a defeat to Polokwane City on their last outing. Both sides remain winless in the current campaign.
The result leaves Chippa United in twelfth place with four points from five games and Richards Bay in thirteenth with three points. Neither side has tasted victory in the Premier League this season, and the gap between them remains one point. The match offered little in the way of clear-cut opportunities despite the volume of attacks from both sides.
