Dynamo Vladivostok saw off Dynamo Barnaul on penalties in the Regions Path second round of the Cup. The match finished 0:0 after extra time on 12 August 2026, sending the tie to a shootout that Vladivostok won 7-0.
Neither side managed a single shot on target during the 120 minutes of play. Possession stayed even at 49 per cent for the hosts and 51 for the visitors, but the game produced only four yellow cards for Barnaul and one for Vladivostok.
The shootout began with trouble for the home side. Barnaul missed three consecutive spots — first at 90+9, then E. Pesikov at 120+1, and K. Mogel at 120+4 — leaving them unable to recover.
Vladivostok took full advantage. N. Vorona, D. Bolataev, D. Bakay, A. Yapryntsev, A. Sablin, D. Antsiperov and A. Shadura all converted their penalties in sequence. D. Burkin was the last Barnaul taker and his miss ended the contest.
The result means Vladivostok advance while Barnaul's Cup campaign is over. The hosts had not lost since a 2:1 win over Anri Vladivostok on 30 July, but this shootout defeat follows a string of mixed results.
Both sides went into the tie with uneven form. Barnaul dropped points against Znamya Truda and Tempt Barnaul in recent months, while Vladivostok had won four of their last five matches before this cup clash.
