Levaadia ran riot against Nõmme United in the Meistriliiga, closing out Regular Season round 22 with a 5-0 victory on Sunday. G. Lehtmets opened the scoring in the 22nd minute before R. Peetson doubled the lead six minutes later. Wendell added a third in the 87th minute to complete the rout.
The visitors were reduced to ten men when Z. Beglarishvili was sent off in the 60th minute after collecting a yellow card in the 58th. Levaadia had already made a change, bringing on Joao Pedro for Lehtmets at half-time. Three more substitutions followed for the hosts before the final whistle.
The statistics tell the story of a one-sided affair. Levaadia registered 103 attacks compared with 48, and their possession figure of 0.71 left Nõmme United with just 0.29. The hosts were clinical, hitting 10 shots on target to score three goals, while the visitors managed only three shots on target all game.
By then the table reflected the gulf between the sides. Levaadia sit top with 65 points from 26 games, their only loss coming in the opening weeks. Nõmme United languish in eighth place with 28 points after 27 matches, their form recently erratic against both top and bottom opposition.
The result extends Levaadia's advantage at the summit. They have now won 20 of their 26 league outings and face little threat from the chasing pack. Nõmme United's hopes of a surprise finish have faded further with this latest defeat.
