Quick Boys moved clear at the top of the Tweede Divisie with a 3-0 victory over GVVV Fenandael on Saturday. The visitors finished 12 points clear after four matches, while their hosts remain winless and sit at the bottom of the table. The result extended Quick Boys' winning streak and ended GVVV's hopes of a first point of the season.
Two goals in the first half gave the visitors control before a late third sealed it. T. Noordhoff opened the scoring in the 21st minute, and K. van Mil doubled the advantage just before the break in the 42nd. N. Broekhuizen added a third in the 85th minute to complete the scoreline.
Quick Boys dominated the attack with 101 touches compared to 80 for the hosts. They registered three shots on target against one, though both sides had equal possession at 50 per cent. The visitors won a corner-less affair without conceding a single corner, while GVVV managed six of their own.
GVVV made five substitutions in an attempt to change the game, bringing on Q. Veenhof early in the second half and then three players together after the hour mark. Quick Boys responded with their own changes, including bringing on K. van Mil himself for a second appearance after he had already scored.
The hosts have now lost all four matches, including defeats to Ajax and Kozakken Boys earlier this month. Quick Boys, meanwhile, sit top with 12 points and have not dropped a single point in four games. The gap between the two sides at the bottom and top of the table has never been wider.
