The hosts had built up momentum through recent results, while Brage were struggling away from home. And here's the thing — the match didn't unfold as either side expected, with the decisive moments arriving late.
Östersund dominated possession with 70 per cent of the ball and registered 129 attacks against Brage's 52. They won 14 corners to two, yet could only muster two shots on target. To be fair, Brage were content to sit deep and absorb pressure, looking for something on the break. The visitors managed just one shot on target all evening, with no blocked shots to show for their efforts.
The turning point came at the double on Curtis Edwards, booked in consecutive minutes 40 and 41. It was an unusual sequence that shifted the momentum, and by then Brage had already made their first change with Alex Mortensen coming on at half-time. The hosts pressed forward but found the defence organised, with Brage clearing every danger until the final quarter.
Amar Begic finally broke the deadlock in the 86th minute, giving Östersund what looked like a winner. But the game wasn't over.
