Jazz secured a 0-2 away victory over SJK in the Ykkönen group stage on 15 August. The result keeps both sides in contention as the group progresses, with the visitors moving clear of the hosts after 22 matches each.
J. Pulla opened the scoring in the 38th minute, and E. Mattila added a second in the 67th. The match also saw a run of yellow cards around the break: G. Voca and J. Lakkamaki each received two bookings, while E. Rrustemi and J. Petrishin were cautioned on 45+2 minutes.
SJK dominated possession at 52 per cent but could only register six shots on target compared to Jazz's three. The hosts generated 126 attacks and earned ten corners, yet failed to convert. By then the visitors were more efficient, turning their limited opportunities into goals.
Coaches made several changes in the second half. M. Lulli came on for SJK in the 46th minute, and E. Rrustemi, Y. Miyazaki, and S. Poysa were introduced at 71 minutes. J. Petrishin was replaced at 75, and J. Pulla saw two substitutions in stoppage time as Jazz managed the closing stages.
