Trans Narva 8-0 KMK
Trans Narva hammered KMK 8-0 in the Round of 32 of the Cup on Tuesday evening. The hosts were clinical from the opening whistle, racing into a two-goal lead within ten minutes. Josue doke opened the scoring in the seventh minute, then Ahmad Gero doubled the advantage seventeen minutes in. and here's the thing — the visitors never really got their feet under them.
Trans Narva didn't let up. doke struck again in the twenty-first minute, his second of the night, before Gero converted a penalty in the thirty-fifth. The visitors camped in the final third for much of the opening half, and their persistence paid off. By then, the result had long been decided.
The second half brought little resistance. Egor Zhuravlev added a fifth in the seventy-fourth minute, and doke completed his hat-trick with an eighth-minute strike in the eighty-second. KMK had nothing to do all evening, their defence crumbling under sustained pressure. to be fair, the visitors' recent results suggested this was always going to be difficult.
Trans Narva's form has been mixed of late, losing 2-0 to Kalju Nõmme on Saturday before beating Nõmme United 2-1. This victory ends that run of inconsistency, even if the opposition wasn't exactly testing them. The scoreline reflects the gulf in quality on the night.
KMK's recent record shows some flashes — an 8-4 win over Generation Tallinn last July — but consistency has been elusive. They've lost to Saue Sporting and Yak Tabasalu in their last two competitive outings. This result leaves them with nothing to show for their Cup campaign.
