Ariel Ignacio Cáceres Lizana

Cáceres came through the Unión La Calera academy, and in February 2020 he became the first player from the club's youth system to appear in international competition, taking the pitch against Fluminense in the Copa Sudamericana. He remained registered with La Calera until 2025, but first-team opportunities there were limited: 15 league appearances and one goal across those years. Most of his football was played away from La Calera, out on loan. He first joined San Luis de Quillota in 2021, then spent a season at Deportes La Serena in 2022, before returning to San Luis for a longer spell that ran from 2023 into 2024, when the loan was ended early in August of that year. The loan that reshaped his career began in February 2025, when he signed for Deportes Concepción for the season with no option to buy attached. He was a fixture in the side, making 27 appearances and scoring once as Concepción won the Primera B and earned promotion to the Primera División. In December 2025 Deportes Concepción ratified the permanent purchase of his rights, with the move taking effect the following January. He has stayed on at the club into the 2026 season, now playing in the top flight he helped it reach.
