Auston Levi-Jesaiah Trusty

Trusty's path to Celtic ran through the Philadelphia Union academy, which he joined in 2011 out of Nether United Soccer Club. He made his professional bow with Bethlehem Steel in 2016, racking up 44 appearances before Philadelphia Union promoted him to the first team the following year, where he stayed until November 2019.

That month, Colorado Rapids traded for him in a deal worth up to $750,000 in allocation money plus a cut of any future transfer fee. He stayed with Colorado until January 2022, when Arsenal signed him for an undisclosed fee, only to loan him straight back to the Rapids for the rest of the season. A loan to Birmingham City followed in the 2022–23 Championship season, before Sheffield United made the move permanent in August 2023 for a reported £5 million on a four-year contract.

In August 2024, Celtic paid Sheffield United around £6 million, with add-ons potentially taking the fee to $7.8 million, and handed him a five-year contract running to 2029.

On the international stage, Trusty won the 2017 CONCACAF U-20 Championship and the 2022–23 CONCACAF Nations League with the United States. He had to wait until March 2023 for his senior debut, against Grenada, but by the 2026 World Cup he had earned 10 caps, including a goal against Turkey in the tournament itself.
