James Forrest

James Forrest joined Celtic's youth academy in 2003 at the age of 12 and has never worn another club's shirt. He signed his first professional contract in 2009 and made his senior debut on 1 May 2010.

As of the 2024/25 season, Forrest is the most decorated player in Celtic's history, with 28 major honours to his name, including a run of Scottish Premiership titles from 2011–12 through 2023–24, eight Scottish Cups and eight League Cups. He was named PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year and SFWA Young Player of the Year in 2011–12, then collected both PFA Scotland Player of the Year and SFWA Player of the Year in 2018–19. In August 2023, Celtic granted him a testimonial match against Athletic Club. He signed a new contract extension in November 2024 that runs to 2026.

On the international stage, Forrest made his Scotland debut on 29 May 2011 against the Republic of Ireland. He has gone on to earn 39 caps and score five goals, and was part of the Scotland squads at UEFA Euro 2020 and UEFA Euro 2024.
