Bastián Ignacio Ubal Peña

Bastián Ubal came through the Universidad de Chile academy before signing his first professional contract in December 2022. His senior debut had already come the year before, when he was named for a Copa Libertadores tie against San Lorenzo in March 2021.

First-team minutes at Universidad de Chile remained scarce, and the club sent him out on loan to Santiago Morning for the 2023 Primera B season, where he made 16 appearances. When his contract in Santiago expired, he moved on a free transfer to Athletic Club Barnechea for 2024, a campaign in which he played 26 matches and scored his first senior goal.

He signed a two-year contract with Universidad de Concepción in January 2025. He was part of the squad that won the 2025 Primera B title, sealing promotion to the Primera División.

At international level, Ubal was capped twice by Chile's under-17 side in 2019, featuring at the South American U-17 Championship as the team finished runners-up. He has not been called up to the senior national team.
