About the player
Fodrey signed his first professional contract with San Diego Loyal in December 2020, having come through local academies including Albion Pros Club, San Diego Surf and San Diego Nomads. He made his professional debut on 22 May 2021 against Louisville City, coming on as a substitute in the 81st minute and scoring on his first appearance.
He spent the following season with San Diego Loyal before moving to San Diego State University in autumn 2022. His single college season produced 7 goals and 4 assists in 18 matches, earning him the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year award and a place on the All-Pac-12 First Team .
Austin FC took him with the 13th pick of the 2022 MLS SuperDraft, and he signed a Generation Adidas contract to join the club. His first-team debut came in a Leagues Cup match against FC Juárez, a 3-1 defeat.
Austin FC II won the 2023 MLS Next Pro Cup, beating Columbus Crew 2 3-1 in the final.
