Daniel Dos Santos Correia

Daniel Dos Santos Correia was born in Covilhã, Portugal, but built his career through Swiss football, moving from FC Interlaken's youth ranks to the FC Thun academy at the age of eleven. He made his senior debut for Thun in 2020 and spent four years working his way into the side, but it was the 2023–24 season that made his name: ten goals in the Challenge League as Thun won the title and returned to the Super League. For that season, Dos Santos was named the Challenge League Player of the Year.

That breakthrough campaign brought a move to FC Lugano in July 2024, in a transfer worth around 850,000 euros, and he signed a four-year contract at the club. He made 29 appearances in his first season there.

At international level, Dos Santos has represented Switzerland at under-20 and under-21 level, scoring for both age groups. He has not yet been capped by the senior national side.
