David Teles

David Teles arrives at Cherno More Varna. Born in Elvas, he came through the youth ranks at O Elvas before a spell at Sporting CP and then Académica de Coimbra, where his senior career began in 2017. From there his path ran through Liga 3 and the Campeonato de Portugal: a loan at Clube Condeixa, two years at Sport União Sintrense, a return to Académica de Coimbra, and a season at Anadia FC.

Every one of those moves was a free transfer, and the switch to Bulgaria followed the same pattern. Teles joined Cherno More Varna from Anadia on 5 July 2025, signing a contract running until 30 June 2028. The move took him to a new country and into European football: he made his continental debut in the UEFA Conference League with the club in the 2025–26 season.

He has not been capped by Portugal at any level, and his career to this point has brought no major titles or individual honours. A right-footed midfielder, Teles built his experience in spells that rarely lasted more than two seasons, a pattern now interrupted by the long-term deal in Varna.
