Facundo Cambeses

Facundo Cambeses spent almost eight years as Banfield's goalkeeper before making the highest-profile move of his career. He came through the club's academy and made his top-flight debut on 18 March 2019 against Godoy Cruz, having spent 22 matchdays on the bench beforehand waiting for a chance. Over his time at Banfield he made 74 appearances.

A loan spell at Huracán in 2020-21 gave him regular football away from Banfield, and he made 13 appearances there. The move was interrupted in February 2021 when he suffered a broken arm; he returned to Banfield that July once the loan ended.

Cambeses stayed at Banfield until January 2024, when Racing Club signed him for a reported 2 million US dollars on a three-year contract. "Contento de estar acá y con esperanzas para lo que viene," he said of the move, according to TyC Sports. He has since made himself a fixture in Racing's goal, passing 46 appearances for the club.
