About the player
Gyurkits came through Paks' own academy after starting out at Kinderball SE and Bajai LSE and passing through the Vasas youth ranks, joining the club's system in 2018 and turning professional in 2020. He made his Nemzeti Bajnokság I debut for Paks on 29 January 2022, against Zalaegerszeg, and has since been sent out on loan twice to gain first-team minutes in the second tier: 18 appearances and a goal for Pécsi MFC in 2023–24, followed by 15 appearances and another goal for BFC Siófok the following season.
His standout moment came back at Paks. Introduced as a substitute in the 2024–25 Magyar Kupa final against Ferencváros, he scored his kick in the penalty shootout as Paks won 4–3 to lift the trophy. It was a marked turnaround from three seasons earlier, when he had been on the losing side in the 2021–22 Magyar Kupa final.
Gyurkits has represented Hungary at under-17, under-19 and under-21 level, though he has not yet been capped by the senior national team. He remains under contract at Paks, tying him to the club into 2029.
