About the player
González made his senior debut for Deportes Iquique in the Primera B in 2022. He was part of the squad that won the Primera B title in 2023 and earned promotion to the Primera División, before a loan move took him to Universidad de Concepción in January 2025, when the club was competing in the Primera B.
That loan spell turned into the standout stretch of his career so far. González scored 12 goals in 34 appearances across all competitions during the 2025 season and was described as a revelation, finishing among the league's top scorers as Universidad de Concepción won the 2025 Primera B championship and secured promotion to the Primera División. He returned to Deportes Iquique at the start of the 2026 season, only to be loaned back to Universidad de Concepción in June for the remainder of the campaign.
Standing at 162 cm and playing with his right foot, González has drawn attention at youth international level, having been called up to Chile's under-17 microcycles under coach Hernán Caputto in both 2021 and 2025.
