Singa Joël Ito

Ito's football education began far from where he plays now: he joined Sporting Tisselt as a child before moving into KV Mechelen's academy, where he spent seven years, and then into the youth system at Club Brugge, where he stayed until 2018. A return to Mechelen's reserves preceded his first senior contract, at ASV Geel in August 2019 — a spell cut short within six months by the club's financial collapse. He rebuilt his career through the lower tiers, at UR La Louvière Centre and then Royal Olympic Club de Charleroi, both moves made on free transfers.

It was at RAAL La Louvière, which he joined on a free transfer in July 2023, that Ito's career took off. He became a key figure as the club won back-to-back promotions, climbing from the lower divisions into the Belgian Pro League for the 2025–26 season. He made his top-flight debut against Standard Liège on 26 July 2025. His importance to the side had already been recognised at supporter level: he was named RAAL La Louvière's Goal of the Season for a strike against SK Beveren on 18 October 2024 and again for a goal against Cercle Brugge on 15 March 2026, and he also picked up the club's Assist of the Season award for a pass against KAS Eupen on 28 February 2025.

Internationally, Ito represented Belgium at youth level, from the U15s through to the U18s, without progressing to senior recognition.
