About the player
Joaquín Trasante came through Nacional's academy after starting out at Laureles and Cebollas, and the U-20 side he belonged to won the 2018 Copa Libertadores at that level. He carried that form into the Uruguay U-20 national team, picking up a silver medal at the 2018 South American Games in Cochabamba and finishing with 15 caps and two goals for the age group.
His breakthrough came at Nacional itself, where he made his senior debut in 2020 and went on to win the Uruguayan Primera División twice, in 2020 and 2022, adding a Supercopa Uruguaya in 2021. He also got on the scoresheet in the league that first season. A loan to River Plate Montevideo followed in 2023 before he left Nacional altogether the following year.
Since then his career has moved quickly from club to club. Miramar Misiones took him on in 2024, and he has crossed two more borders on free transfers, first to Gimnasia Jujuy in January and then to Tristán Suárez in July, before joining Danubio.
