About the player
Jamie Brandon's move to Kilmarnock in the summer of 2025 came with a distinction attached: he was new manager Stuart Kettlewell's first signing, arriving on a free transfer once his contract at Livingston had expired. The defender wears the number 2 shirt at Kilmarnock, having built his reputation at Livingston after leaving Hearts.
Brandon came through the Rangers youth ranks before switching to the Hearts academy, where he made his senior debut in 2017. He spent time at Tynecastle, a spell interrupted by a loan to Greenock Morton in 2022, before joining Livingston that summer on a free transfer. Those performances earned him a place in the PFA Scotland Scottish Championship Team of the Year for 2024–25.
Brandon has also represented Scotland at Under-21 level, making his debut for the age group in March 2019, though he has not featured for the senior national side.
A right-footed defender by trade, Brandon made 30 league appearances for Hearts and 13 while on loan at Greenock Morton, before going on to make 74 appearances for Livingston, scoring once during his time at the club.
