Kameron Malcolm Ledwidge

Kameron Ledwidge came through St. Kevin's Boys before Southampton took him into their academy in 2017, where he spent four years in the youth and U21 setups, playing in the EFL Trophy. Southampton released him in the summer of 2021, and he signed for Shelbourne on a free transfer.

The move paid off quickly. In his first season at Tolka Park, Shelbourne won the League of Ireland First Division and went up to the top flight. Ledwidge stayed and kept extending his contract, eventually tying himself to the club into the latter part of the decade. The bigger moment came in 2024, when Shelbourne won the League of Ireland Premier Division and ended an 18-year wait for the title. He added the President of Ireland's Cup in 2025.

Ledwidge's development was tracked closely by the Republic of Ireland underage set-ups long before his senior breakthrough. He was capped at U15, U16, U18, U19 and, most extensively, at U17 level, and has also earned a U21 cap. A senior international call-up has not yet followed.

At club level he has largely stayed out of the individual honours lists that have gone to some of his Shelbourne teammates, but his consistency at left-back has coincided with the most successful period the club has had in nearly two decades.
