Lamine Ba

Villepinte gave Lamine Ba his start, and it was Paris Saint-Germain who first noticed him: he came through the club's youth ranks, won the Championnat U19 National with the PSG side in 2016 and reached that year's UEFA Youth League final, where his side lost to Chelsea. A senior contract with PSG's reserve team followed, but Ba's career instead ran through smaller leagues — a brief spell in Italy with Virtus Entella, three seasons in Cyprus with Doxa Katokopias, then two in Luxembourg with Progrès Niederkorn.

It was in Croatia, at NK Varaždin, that Ba built himself into a regular starter, making 88 appearances across four seasons before his move to Śląsk Wrocław in January 2026 on a contract until June 2027.

Internationally, Ba represents Mauritania. He made his debut for the national team on 26 March 2022 and marked it by scoring the winning goal in a 2–1 friendly victory over Mozambique. He was part of the Mauritania squad that reached the round of 16 at the Africa Cup of Nations. He has since gone on to earn 31 caps.
