About the player
Lucas Brumme came through the youth academy at 1. FC Union Berlin before switching to BFC Dynamo, where he made his way in the Regionalliga Nordost. A move to SV Wehen Wiesbaden followed in January 2021, and he joined Rot-Weiß Essen on a free transfer in July 2023.
The left-footed midfielder passed a century of league appearances for the club. Local reports have called him a matchwinner, pointing in particular to a decisive goal against Hannover 96 II. He has also featured for Essen in the DFB-Pokal, scoring once in the 2023/24 competition.
Brumme's time at Rot-Weiß Essen reached a high point in the 2025/26 season, when the club secured promotion to the 2. Bundesliga. His contract at Essen runs until the summer of 2027.
