About the player
Lucas Masoero was born in Mendoza and started out at Independiente Rivadavia, going out on loan twice before the club let him go — first to Argentino de Mendoza, then to SC Pacífico. A free move to Deportivo Maipú followed.
He was part of the squad that won the Bulgarian Cup in the 2019–20 season, making five appearances in that campaign, and followed it up with the Bulgarian Supercup in 2020. From Plovdiv he moved to FK Nizhny Novgorod, where he played for two years before leaving in 2023.
He then joined Universitatea Cluj in Romania. Masoero was named to the Liga I Team of the Season for 2024–25 before he moved on again.
Since the summer of 2025 he has been at Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza in Poland. He has yet to score for the club but has provided one assist, and has picked up a single yellow card along the way.
