About the player
The Romanian chapter of Leonardo de Oliveira Silva's career lasted about as long as it took to announce. He signed for CSM Politehnica Iași in July 2023 and was gone before the month was out.
Known throughout his career as Léo Índio, or simply Índio, he started at Portuguesa RJ in 2016 and won the Copa Rio that same year. A loan to Costa Rica EC took him away between January and April 2018; he returned to Portuguesa and stayed until December of that year.
What came next was a sequence of short stays, all of them on free transfers. Itumbiara EC signed him in February 2021 and he was there until May. Azuriz followed in January 2022, through to August. Nova Iguaçu took him in November 2022 and kept him until May 2023, after which he spent a matter of weeks at Athletic Club (MG) before the move to Europe.
In January 2025 he came back to Brazil with Ponte Preta.
At Juventude he has worked mainly as a central defender in a back three. In July 2026 Náutico confirmed his signing.
