Lucas Camilo

Lucas Camilo joined Grêmio's academy at around 12 years old, signing his first professional contract in June 2022. Despite that long apprenticeship, he never played a first-team match for Grêmio, moving through the under-17 and under-20 sides and featuring in the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior instead.

In September 2024 he joined Botafogo on a free transfer to play for the club's under-20 side, with Grêmio retaining half of his economic rights. At Botafogo he also appeared for the first team, scoring against Portuguesa in the Campeonato Carioca.

He left Botafogo in June 2026 for Mexico's Puebla, again on a free transfer, with Botafogo keeping 50% of his economic rights and a cut of any future sale. Puebla has since featured in Liga MX matches against Pachuca and San Diego FC, as well as in the Concacaf Leagues Cup.

At youth level, Camilo was part of the Brazil under-17 squad that won the 2022 Torneio de Montaigu and the 2023 South American Under-17 Championship, playing nine matches in the latter tournament and setting up a goal against Paraguay. He went on to play three matches at the 2023 Under-17 World Cup, against Iran, New Caledonia and England.
