M. Perez

Miguel Perea has spent his career on the move. Since leaving Águilas, where he began in 2019, he has passed through six further clubs across Ecuador and Bolivia, from Everest and Grecia to Vargas Torres, Macará and Independiente Petrolero, before joining Técnico Universitario in 2025.

Born in Santo Domingo, Perea has also been used further forward on the left side of midfield. That versatility has followed him through a career built on short stints rather than long-term fixtures, with switches between Ecuadorian and Bolivian football roughly once a year since his debut.

At Técnico Universitario he joined a club with history but little recent silverware — twice runner-up in the Ecuadorian championship, back in 1978 and 1980, and champion of the second division in 2017. Perea's time there did not add to that record; no title arrived during his spell at the club.

His next move, agreed for the middle of 2026, takes him to Mushuc Runa on a contract running through 2027 — his longest stated term at a single club since turning professional. It marks a shift in pattern for a player whose career so far has been defined more by the frequency of his transfers than by time spent settled in one dressing room.
