Mateo Rinaldi

Mateo Rinaldi spent most of his career climbing through Argentina's regional divisions. After time in Aldosivi's youth ranks and spells at Libertad and Deportivo Norte in Mar del Plata, he joined Kimberley in September 2023 and became a key figure in the club's run to the Torneo Federal A, Argentina's third tier — a promotion sealed on penalties against Camioneros in the Torneo Regional Amateur final in February 2024. The following year he stepped up again in the Copa Argentina, converting a decisive penalty against Newell's Old Boys in April 2025.

That form led to a permanent transfer to Danubio in August 2025, with Kimberley releasing him for no upfront fee but keeping a sell-on clause. Since arriving in Uruguay he has made 19 appearances for Danubio and scored once.

Rinaldi comes from a footballing family: his brother, Nicolás Rinaldi, is also a professional player. His father, Jorge Rinaldi, is a Falklands War veteran known for bringing an Argentine flag back from captivity. Off the pitch, Rinaldi is studying for a degree in Physical Education and has spoken about his interest in literature.
