About the player
Matheus Cardoso Francisco, known as Matheus Pivô, started out at Associação Atlética Carapebus and Hercílio Luz before a short stay at Grêmio Anápolis, and from there the path ran through Marília Atlético, Operário VG and Democrata GV, interrupted by a loan at Cianorte, where he finished runner-up in the Copa Santa Catarina in 2018.
A longer spell followed at São José-RS, and in March 2023 he joined Sampaio Corrêa on a free transfer after his contract there ran out. Loan moves to Passo Fundo and Ferroviário had already given him experience away from his parent clubs, with whom he was runner-up in the Campeonato Goiano in 2024.
His contract at Brusque runs to July 2027, but in February 2026 he was sent out on loan again, this time to AVS in Portugal, a deal set to last until June of that year.
Right-footed and 185 cm tall, Matheus Pivô has built his career on steady service across a string of clubs rather than on a single breakthrough campaign, and he has yet to receive a call-up to the Brazil national team at any level.
