Mert Demirji

Mert Demirci was born in Madrid. He started out with CF Rayo Majadahonda in the Alevín and Infantil age groups, then joined Valencia's academy in 2019, where he spent time with the U18 and U19 sides and trained with the first team.

From Valencia he moved to Atlético Madrid's youth setup, joining the Juvenil A squad, before switching to UD Almería in 2021. He worked his way up through Almería's U19 side and was promoted to Almería B, where he stayed for over a year. Further moves followed to Rayo Vallecano B and then AD Alcorcón B, each step keeping him in Spanish reserve-team football rather than the senior game.

Demirci holds Dutch citizenship, which opens the door to a possible future with the Netherlands, though he has not featured for any senior national team. He was previously included among Dutch youth international listings, though without making an official appearance at that level. Despite his Spanish upbringing and Turkish background, he has not represented either Spain or Turkey at any age group.

None of his transfers between clubs involved a fee, with each move coming as a free transfer or an internal promotion within a club's own structure.
