About the player
Michał Szromnik returned to Śląsk Wrocław in June 2025 on a free transfer after his contract at Górnik Zabrze had run out. He had first joined Śląsk in 2020 on a two-year deal, appearing for both the first team and the reserve side up to 2023 before moving on to Zabrze.
Born in Gdańsk, Szromnik came up through the academies of Gedania Gdańsk and Arka Gdynia. His move abroad came in July 2014, when Dundee United signed him on a three-year contract. He made 13 appearances for the Scottish club before the two sides agreed to part ways in June 2016.
Back in Poland, he worked his way through the lower and middle tiers of the game, turning out for Bytovia Bytów, Odra Opole and Chrobry Głogów before his first move to Śląsk Wrocław.
At youth level, Szromnik was called up across the age groups for Poland, from the under-17s through to the under-21s, without going on to add a senior cap.
