About the player
Noah Beaumont Mawene captained Preston North End's under-18 side before signing his first professional contract with the club in June 2021, and he made his senior debut a year and a half later, coming off the bench in a 4–1 win over Blackburn Rovers. Across four years at the club he was restricted to nine senior appearances, with much of his development instead coming through a string of loan spells.
The most substantial of those was a season-long stint at Newport County in 2024–25, where he made 14 appearances. A shorter loan followed at Southend United in the spring of 2026, before Preston released him at the end of that season. He then signed for Fleetwood Town on a free transfer, only to be sent out again almost immediately, this time to Waterford on loan for the remainder of the 2026 campaign.
Mawene made his Waterford debut against Shelbourne, coming on as a substitute in the 51st minute of a 1–0 win, and had made two appearances for the club by the following week. He is yet to register a goal or an assist in senior football.
