About the player
Nias Hefti came through FC Goldach before spending almost a decade in the FC St. Gallen academy, and although he was moved up to the senior squad in June 2018, first-team league football never followed there — he played instead for the club's second string. The breakthrough came on loan at FC Wil 1900, where he started regularly in the Challenge League and contributed goals and assists from left-back.
A free transfer took him to FC Thun in June 2019, where he experienced both the Swiss Super League and, after relegation, the Challenge League. He returned to Thun for a full campaign before his contract expired.
Sion signed him on a free transfer in June 2023, and his first season there proved the most significant of his career: Hefti was a regular as the club won the Challenge League title and returned to the Super League.
At club level he plays as a left-footed left-back.
