Nicolas Sandro Bürgy

Bürgy grew up in Belp and came through the FC Belp youth ranks before moving to the BSC Young Boys academy, signing his first professional contract there in 2015. He made 31 appearances across seven years, and instead built his career through a string of loans. At FC Aarau in 2018–19 he was named Player of the Season, and a spell at FC Thun in 2017–18 brought 32 appearances — the same club he has now rejoined on a free transfer, signing until 2028 with an option for a further year.

His most productive loan came late, at Viborg FF in 2022, and Viborg made the move permanent that June by triggering a purchase option reported at around €500,000. He went on to make 80 appearances for the Danish club, scoring five goals, before Odense Boldklub signed him in February 2025 for a fee of roughly €125,000. At OB he made 40 appearances and scored twice, and was part of the squad that won the Danish 1st Division in the 2024–25 season.

Bürgy won the Swiss Super League and Swiss Cup double with Young Boys in 2019–20. At international level, he was capped twice for Switzerland's under-20 side, against Poland and Germany, between 2014 and 2016.
