Nicolás Cabral

Since leaving Olimpo, Nicolás Cabral has rarely settled anywhere for more than a season. After coming through at Olimpo between 2019 and 2022, he moved on to play in Uruguay, where most of his career has since been built.

At Cerro, in Montevideo, he needed barely a week to make his mark: having debuted against Peñarol on 4 February 2023, he scored his first senior goal seven days later, in a 3-0 win over Boston River, and went on to make 11 appearances that season. A free transfer took him to Cerro Largo in January 2024, where he made 21 league appearances without finding the net, and then to Liverpool, in Montevideo, in 2025, where he added 15 more.

Avaí signed him as a free agent in January 2026, presenting him as a centre-back on a contract running to November. His first goal for the club came in the Copa Sul-Sudeste, against Chapecoense on 3 June, in a season in which he also featured in the Campeonato Catarinense. By July, though, he had moved on again, joining Montevideo Wanderers, for whom he had made five appearances by the middle of August, including a 5-1 win over Peñarol and a 1-1 draw against his former club, Cerro Largo.
