Otto Eric Rosengren

Otto Rosengren's move from Mjällby AIF to Malmö FF in June 2023 carried a fee of around 15 million Swedish kronor, a record at the time for a transfer between two Allsvenskan clubs, with reports pointing to resale clauses and potential bonuses built into the deal. It marked the reward for a rapid rise: after coming through Sölvesborgs GoIF as a boy, Rosengren joined the Mjällby AIF academy in 2019, was promoted to the senior squad in mid-2021 and made his Allsvenskan debut that November. At Malmö he signed a contract running to December 2027. The move paid off quickly. Rosengren won the Allsvenskan title in both 2023 and 2024 with Malmö FF, adding the Svenska Cupen in the 2023–24 season. Those honours came in his first full seasons at the club, underlining how smoothly he settled into the squad after arriving. His international path has followed the usual route through Sweden's youth ranks, with caps for the under-17s, including a goal in 2019, and a longer run in the under-21 setup, where he scored three times in 16 appearances between 2022 and 2024. That development led to a senior call-up, and Rosengren made his debut for Sweden on 12 January 2024 in a friendly against Estonia, coming on as a substitute for Sebastian Nanasi in the 59th minute as Sweden won 2–1. At Malmö FF, Rosengren wears number 7 and is right-footed, having built his career so far on the platform Mjällby gave him before the record-setting switch to one of Sweden's biggest clubs.
