Patrick Nkoa

Patrick Nkoa grew up playing street football in Cameroon before leaving for Europe in 2018, first to France and then to Germany, where he combined his footballing ambitions with studying computer science at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. His senior career started modestly, with seven appearances for Schwarz-Weiß Wattenscheid 08, before a move to FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt gave him a regular platform: across two seasons he made 59 appearances and scored seven goals, helping the club win the Oberliga Nordost and earn promotion.

A free transfer took him to Hansa Rostock, where he featured for the club's reserve side in the Regionalliga Nordost before the arrangement was ended by mutual consent. The turning point in Nkoa's career came at Alemannia Aachen in the 3. Liga, where his performances in the 2024/25 season earned him a place in kicker's Team of the Season. That form led to a move up to the 2. Bundesliga with Eintracht Braunschweig, where the defender made 17 senior appearances and scored once.

Standing at 192 cm, Nkoa brings a physical presence to the back line as a right-footed centre-back. In July 2026 he joined RAAL La Louvière on a free transfer, signing a two-year contract with the option of a third season. He has represented Cameroon at senior level.
