He made his debut for FC Porto B in 2022/2023 and went on to make around 42–46 appearances for the reserve side across three seasons in Liga Portugal 2, adding three goals in eight UEFA Youth League appearances for the U19 side in that same debut campaign.
In January 2026, FC Porto let Monteiro leave permanently for Dinamo Tbilisi in Georgia's Erovnuli Liga, signing a two-year contract while Porto retained 30% of his economic rights. He scored three goals in 13 league appearances during the 2026 season.
