Some databases had Robinho filed as a forward or a winger.

Ricardo Alexandre Ribeiro Vieira came up through a string of youth set-ups: Linda-a-Velha from 2006 to 2008, three seasons at Sporting CP, a return to Linda-a-Velha until 2015, then a year with Académica.

Belenenses SAD took him in 2018. That season brought 13 Primeira Liga appearances and two in the Taça de Portugal; four more top-flight matches followed in 2020/21 before he left in January.

The move to FC Penafiel began as a loan and was made permanent, and it became the long stretch of his career. Nineteen matches and a goal in Liga Portugal 2 in the second half of 2020/21, 30 the following season, 23 after that. The goals arrived later: five in 28 matches in 2023/24, then five in 16 in 2024/25. In all he made roughly 96 league appearances for the club and scored 11 times.

He joined Académico Viseu on 9 July 2025 as a free agent, with no fee reported. His first season there ran to 32 matches in Liga Portugal 2, with one assist, five yellow cards and a red. In the current campaign he has played three matches in Liga Portugal, scoring once and setting up another goal, with an average rating of 7.42.
