Simen Hestnes

Simen Hestnes came through Vålerenga's youth ranks and debuted for the senior side in the Norwegian Cup in April 2015. He left for the United States that summer, enrolling at Long Island University Brooklyn. He was named NEC Player of the Year in 2016 and made the conference's All-Conference Team in both 2015 and 2016, while also turning out for the Brooklyn Italians in the NPSL in 2017. He then transferred to Xavier University, where he made 39 appearances and scored 15 goals.

Hestnes returned to Norway in the summer of 2019 to join Skeid Fotball in the 1. divisjon, making 38 appearances and scoring 4 goals; Skeid were relegated in his first year but won promotion in 2020. He joined KFUM-Kameratene Oslo in 2022. Over 126 appearances and 16 goals, he played a key role in the club's historic promotion to the Eliteserien at the end of the 2023 season, their first ever, and signed a contract extension through 2026 in the aftermath.

On 16 June 2026 he moved to BK Häcken on a free transfer. He had made five league appearances for the Swedish club, without a goal or assist so far. He has not been capped by Norway at senior or youth level.
