About the player
Théo Berdayes Marques is a product of FC Sion's own academy. Born in Aigle, he grew up in nearby Saint-Maurice, where he took his first steps in the game with FC Saint-Maurice before moving into Sion's youth ranks. He spent two seasons with FC Sion II in the Promotion League, and on 26 January 2021 he signed his first professional contract with the senior side.
In June 2022, Sion sent him out on loan to Yverdon-Sport in the Challenge League. He made 16 appearances that season, scored twice, and was part of the squad that won the Challenge League title. His performances were enough to convince Yverdon to make the move permanent, and in February 2023 the loan was converted into a full transfer.
He has since returned to FC Sion, the club where he started out.
