About the player
Tamás Somogyi made his senior debut for Budapest Honvéd in the 2025/2026 season in the NB II, becoming the second-youngest player ever to debut for the club. He came through Honvéd's own academy, moving up to the U17 side in August 2024 after a spell with the U16s.
The step up continued the following season: in 2026/2027 the attacking midfielder was handed six appearances in the top-flight Nemzeti Bajnokság I, scoring once and setting up another goal for a teammate.
Somogyi has also been a regular presence in Hungary's youth set-up. At Under-17 level he has been capped ten times and scored four goals, including appearances during the qualifying campaign for the UEFA European Under-17 Championship.
