About the player
Tomáš Tujvel made his senior debut for Nitra in 2001 and stayed with the club until 2009, when a free transfer took him to Hungary and Videoton FC, the club now known as Fehérvár FC.
Loan spells took him around the Hungarian top flight — 30 appearances at Kecskeméti TE in 2014–2015, then 32 at FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda the following season. A free move to Mezőkövesd-Zsóry SE in July 2016 brought him regular football and 39 appearances, before a brief return to Fehérvár FC in January 2018 yielded just five.
He signed for Budapest Honvéd on a free transfer in August 2019 and has since made it his longest stop, passing 122 league appearances for the club. Honvéd have not added a league title during his time at the club, and were relegated to NB II in 2023.
Tujvel holds Slovak citizenship and has since acquired Hungarian citizenship as well. He represented Slovakia at youth level, turning out for the under-19, under-21 and under-23 sides.
