Johan Viktor Andersson

Viktor Andersson broke into senior football the long way round: a first professional contract with Malmö FF in May 2022 that never produced a first-team appearance. The path forward ran through Ettan Södra instead. On loan at Lunds BK for the 2023 season, the goalkeeper made 26 appearances and kept ten clean sheets, form strong enough to earn him a nomination for the division's Goalkeeper of the Year award.

That loan spell persuaded IFK Värnamo to sign him permanently in December 2023 on a contract running to the middle of 2027. Two seasons in Allsvenskan followed, with Andersson making 19 league appearances for the club as he established himself in Swedish football's top flight. In February 2026 he moved on loan to IFK Göteborg, a switch that came with an option to buy.

Andersson has also had a taste of international football at youth level, with two caps for Sweden's under-19 side and a further two at under-21 level. His career so far has followed a steady, loan-driven progression rather than a single breakthrough moment, from Malmö's academy through the lower tiers and up into Allsvenskan.
